Y Sort It Celebrates 25 Years of Supporting Young People

That the Parliament celebrates Clydebank-based youth charity Y Sort It for its 25 years of supporting young people in West Dunbartonshire; understands that the charity was founded after the needs of the community were highlighted by a youth-led steering group and research was commissioned by West Dunbartonshire Council; further understands that Y Sort It has evolved to provide various weekly youth work activities and support services from its dedicated youth centres, including mentoring for care experienced young people, support and short breaks for young carers and various youth clubs and groups, supporting over 800 young people a year; congratulates Chief Executive Officer, Gillian Kirkwood, the trustees and the whole team at Y Sort It for reaching this milestone, and hopes that the charity can continue providing what it sees as a vital service to the young people of West Dunbartonshire.
