Congratulations to the Lobster Pot in Blackness on Being Named Best Seafood Establishment at the 2025 Food Awards Scotland

That the Parliament congratulates the Lobster Pot in Blackness on being named best seafood establishment at the 2025 Food Awards Scotland; recognises what it sees as the vision and dedication of owners Colm and Sheena O’Rourke, who reopened the venue in 2019 after it had stood closed for 11 years; further recognises their success in building a family-led enterprise of exceptional quality under head chef, Gary Noble; commends the team’s resilience in overcoming the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic to become an award-winning destination, showcasing Scotland’s seafood excellence, and acknowledges what it sees as the vital contribution that rural hospitality businesses, such as the Lobster Pot, make to local communities, the economy and Scotland’s global reputation for outstanding food and tourism.
