ACS Clothing Ltd Wins Second King’s Award for Enterprise

  • Submitted by: Stephanie Callaghan, Uddingston and Bellshill, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 05 September 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-18647

That the Parliament congratulates ACS Clothing Ltd, based in the Uddingston and Bellshill constituency, on winning its second King's Award for Enterprise, this time for supporting opportunity through social mobility; understands that this latest recognition celebrates ACS’s long-term commitment to creating meaningful career pathways for disadvantaged groups, including refugees, ex-offenders, disabled people and individuals from low-income backgrounds; appreciates that, through structured employment, training and development programmes, ACS empowers individuals to build sustainable futures in the growing green economy; understands that this latest achievement places ACS among a very rare group of UK businesses to have won two separate King’s Awards for Enterprise, the first for sustainable development in 2023, and now for promoting opportunity in 2025, reflecting the company’s leadership across both environmental and social impact fields, and wishes ACS continued success with its future endeavours.
