That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Celebrate Aberdeen Awards will be returning for its sixth year in 2025; understands that the awards, which recognise the positive impact that individuals, organisations and volunteers in the third sector make to thousands of lives across Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire, will be held at the Chester Hotel in Aberdeen on 1 November; notes that awards will be handed out in eight categories, including Community Impact of the Year, Large and Small Organisation of the Year, Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year, Young Supporter of the Year, Campaign or Event of the Year, Team of the Year and Heart of the Community, and will be open to all third sector organisations in Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire; further notes that CNR International and CNOOC International will be returning as Gold sponsors, with other partners including Cala, Aberdeen Inspired, Hampton, Harbour Energy and Dax Group, ensuring that all finalists and their supporters will be able to attend the gala event free of charge; believes that these awards are a fantastic way to give recognition to those who give so much time and energy in the pursuit of helping others, and looks forward to seeing which worthy organisations and volunteers are nominated for each category.
