That the Parliament commends the Asda Foundation for its continued commitment to supporting local communities through charitable giving; recognises the valuable role played by community champions at the Asda stores in Motherwell and Newmains in facilitating grant support for local groups; welcomes the recent award of grants to five local organisations, including £500 to the 24th Motherwell Boys’ Brigade, £1,000 to the Lanarkshire Deaf Hub, £990 to You Are My Sunshine (YAMS), £532 to the Parent Council of Coltness High School, and £1,000 to Pathway Church; acknowledges the positive impact of these grants in addressing the rising cost of living and supporting children and young people, especially during school holidays, and congratulates all the recipients on their successful applications and ongoing contributions to community wellbeing.
