  • Submitted by: Michelle Thomson, Falkirk East, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 11 July 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-18287

That the Parliament recognises that the third Euan Anderson Cup event was held on 5 July 2025 at the Little Kerse Galaxy Sports facility in Grangemouth; notes that this event honours the memory of Euan Anderson, a local young man who sadly died while playing the sport that he loved, football; recognises that, following his sad passing, friends and family of Euan organised this football tournament where teams compete for the Euan Anderson Cup; understands that, while the sum of money raised during the event is still being totalled, it will be directed toward supporting the work of the British Heart Foundation and focusing on local heart health initiatives, such as free CPR and defibrillator training and raising awareness of hidden heart conditions in young people, and recognises the efforts of all those involved in organising the Euan Anderson Cup events, and for continuing to raise funding to increase awareness.
