That the Parliament congratulates conductor Lorna Hunter, a member of ScotRail’s on-train crew at Stirling since 2011, on being named Frontline Employee of the Year at the Scottish Transport Awards 2025; notes that Lorna received this national honour in recognition of her outstanding commitment to passenger safety and customer service; understands that, in 2024, Lorna was named ScotRail’s Employee of the Month for her courageous response to an incident on a late-night service, when she acted swiftly and calmly to protect a vulnerable female passenger from an aggressive individual, leading to their subsequent apprehension by British Transport Police; pays tribute to Lorna’s professionalism, dedication, and empathy, which, it believes, exemplify the vital role frontline rail staff play in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of passengers, and thanks Lorna for her service to Scotland’s transport network and her contribution to keeping communities, including those across the Mid Scotland and Fife region, connected.
