That the Parliament notes efforts by USDAW to challenge what it sees as far-right misinformation and action; understands that an USDAW delegation of young members, representatives and officials attended the STUC Youth Conference 2025 in Glasgow on 14 and 15 June 2025; notes reports of workers expressing concerns about what was described as the “racist legacy” left by the last UK Conservative administration, which, it understands, USDAW believes has led to an increase in hate crime and racist behaviour; expresses concern at reports of a rise in far-right political parties and groups, and in the targeting of young people and young workers online and in-person with what it sees as extremist content and far-right misinformation, and stands in solidarity with USDAW and all trade unions against what it considers to be far-right, racist division in Scotland’s workplaces and communities.
