That the Parliament notes the ongoing review by Dundee and Angus College regarding the potential closure of the swimming pool at its Gardyne Campus, reportedly due to the age of the facility and high operational costs; considers that the 25-metre pool is a valued community resource, used by college students, local swimming clubs, and the wider public, for both recreational and competitive purposes; notes that this proposal comes at a time when access to swimming facilities in Dundee is already under pressure, with plans to close several school pools also under consideration; acknowledges the critical role that swimming pools play in supporting public health, physical activity, water safety, and inclusive access to sport; highlights what it sees as the growing national crisis in pool provision; calls for urgent action to protect these essential facilities, and urges Dundee and Angus College, the Scottish Government, and all relevant partners to work together to find sustainable solutions that will ensure the continued operation of the Gardyne Campus swimming pool and safeguard access for future generations.
