That the Parliament congratulates Scotstounhill Bowling Club’s Ladies Section on marking its centenary in 2025; notes that Scotstounhill Bowling Club was founded in 1905 with a gents section, and that the ladies section was established in 1925; recognises key milestones in its history, including women participating in their first mixed game in June 1933 and the inaugural ladies v gents match in 1957; notes what it sees as the significant step forward in November 1994 when women were granted full membership, enabling them to play a central role in the club’s decision making; celebrates the club’s many achievements over the past 100 years, including members representing the Glasgow County Ladies Team, serving as honorary president of the Glasgow Women’s Bowling Association, and being selected to represent Scotland at national level; acknowledges the club’s longstanding contribution to the local community; commends Lady President Elizabeth Strathdee and Lady Vice President Frances Farmer for their leadership in this milestone year, and wishes the club every success as it embarks on its next century.
