That the Parliament congratulates Irvine Rugby Club on another successful season and on recognising what it sees as the outstanding contributions of volunteers Allan Wilson and Fiona Long; acknowledges Allan’s receipt of both the Adam Gray Memorial Award and the national Spirit of Rugby Award, recognising his dedication from club maintenance to hospitality and strategic leadership; celebrates Fiona’s decade of service, what it sees as her instrumental role in growing women’s and girls’ rugby at the club, and her inspirational leadership as player, captain and coach; notes that, under Allan’s presidency, the club achieved a historic National Bowl victory in 2024, following a near-closure of the men’s team in 2023, and commends the commitment of both individuals in developing rugby in Irvine and creating a strong sense of community at Marress.
