Congratulations to Scotstoun Chamber Choir on Hosting World Premiere in Glasgow

That the Parliament congratulates the Scotstoun Chamber Choir on successfully hosting the world premiere of The Milk of Paradise, a new choral work by Glasgow-based composer Oliver Iredale Searle, at Hyndland Parish Church; notes that the event drew a wide audience and celebrated the richness of contemporary classical music; recognises the significant contribution of the Scotstoun Chamber Choir to Glasgow’s cultural scene through its dedication to high-quality, community-led performances; acknowledges the importance of supporting new music and homegrown talent, and believes that events such as this not only enhance Scotland’s vibrant musical landscape but also foster local pride and engagement with the arts.
