That the Parliament congratulates Mrs Sarah Barron DL on being appointed by His Majesty The King as his Lord-Lieutenant for Midlothian; understands that Mrs Barron supports a number of local charities and helped to set up and run the annual Midlothian's Young Peoples Awards; notes that she has served as Deputy Lieutenant since 2013 and Vice Lord-Lieutenant in 2020 and took over as the first female Lord-Lieutenant on 2 April 2025; welcomes Mrs Barron into her new role, and wishes her luck for the future.
