That the Parliament congratulates Curl Aberdeen on achieving its 20th anniversary of serving curling enthusiasts from across the north east of Scotland; notes that the occasion will be celebrated with its first ever black-tie dinner on 13 June 2025, which will be attended by three former Olympians that trained at Curl Aberdeen, Tom Brewster, Ethan Brewster and Jackie Lockhart, as well as the current Olympic silver medallist, Bruce Mouat; acknowledges that Curl Aberdeen has previously hosted the 2023 European Curling Championships, where Scotland's men's team successfully defended its championship title on home ice; recognises that Curl Aberdeen is the only dedicated curling facility in the north east, and believes that such state-of-the-art facilities have been crucial in enabling Scotland’s significant international curling successes; applauds Curl Aberdeen for its efforts to support athletes from the grassroots to elite levels, and for promoting the sport both to locals and the wider community; commends Curl Aberdeen for running the successful club over the last two decades, and wishes everyone at Curl Aberdeen all the best going forward.
