That the Parliament celebrates the success of Bonnie Blantyre, which won the Young People Award at the Beautiful Scotland Awards 2024; understands that this award is presented to the entrant that demonstrates the most effective involvement by young people within its Beautiful Scotland activities, which Bonnie Blantyre showcased through its work with a local primary school in its own community gardens, planting fruit and vegetables for the pupils to learn to grow and cook the produce that they have grown; notes that the Beautiful Scotland Awards are organised and facilitated by Keep Scotland Beautiful to celebrate the work that individuals and community groups are doing to enhance their local areas; highlights the outstanding work of all volunteers at Bonnie Blantyre, and what it sees as their tireless dedication and commitment to improving the town; considers that Bonnie Blantyre is supported by the wider community, with local residents, businesses, organisations and South Lanarkshire Council all working together to enact positive change throughout the local area, and thanks all involved with the group, who, it believes, are a credit to Blantyre.
