That the Parliament congratulates Wendy Taylor, an advanced nurse practitioner at the haematology and oncology unit of the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, on being awarded the Children’s Choice Award at the Children’s Health Scotland Awards 2024; understands that the award is given to someone who has made a significant difference to a child or young person undergoing treatment; notes that Wendy, who was nominated by a parent of a patient in her care, was recognised for her work supporting and assisting young people and their families during their treatment journey; understands that the panel commended Wendy’s ability to translate complex medical information for families, making difficult times easier for parents, as well as her dedication to supporting each individual child’s unique needs, and considers that the award is well-deserved recognition for all of Wendy’s hard work and dedication to supporting children and families during exceptionally difficult times.
