Fairtrade Fortnight 2024

That the Parliament celebrates Fairtrade Fortnight 2024, which takes place between 9 and 22 September 2024, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Fairtrade Mark; acknowledges what it sees as the impact that Fairtrade has had over the past three decades, with over £1.7 billion in Fairtrade Premium helping farmers and workers around the world to invest in essential projects such as clean water, education, healthcare and sustainable farming; believes that, in the face of climate change and global instability, supporting farmers with fairer prices is more important than ever; highlights the Fairtrade Foundation’s ongoing work to promote fairer trade practices, and calls on governments and consumers to support the Be the Change campaign by choosing Fairtrade products and promoting fairer global trade practices.
