That the Parliament congratulates Newcastleton-born Stephen Clegg for the tenacity and talent that enabled him to win a gold medal in the Paralympic games in the 100m S12 category; acknowledges what it considers to be the immense pressure and the remarkable achievement of delivering on a world stage; commends the incredible performance and dedication that gained Stephen not only a gold medal, but a new world record, and recognises the resilience required to achieve this feat and invaluable inspiration of his performance.
