That the Parliament congratulates Menzieshill House Activity Programme on winning the Confronting Age Discrimination and Stereotypes Award at Generations Working Together’s 2024 Excellence Awards; understands that the Programme consists of a partnership between Menzieshill House Care Home and Menzieshill Nursery alongside local school children and young volunteers; further understands that the partnership promotes an intergenerational approach to eliminate ageism through activities based on improving social interaction and cognitive skills whilst reducing loneliness and isolation, including arts and crafts, quizzes, games, pet therapy, technology use, and reminiscence; believes that Menzieshill House Activity Programme is an excellent example of cross-generational and community collaboration, and wishes it all the best in its continued work.
