Universities Scotland ’40 Faces’ Campaign

  • Submitted by: Pam Duncan-Glancy, Glasgow, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 18 April 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12884

That the Parliament welcomes Universities Scotland’s 40 Faces campaign; understands that the students involved speak to the journey toward equalising access to university by 2030; further understands that those involved in the campaign are past and present students; appreciates the value of listening to their individual and unique experiences in order to properly implement the changes that it believes are needed to level the playing field across a range of diverse backgrounds, and agrees with Universities Scotland that, with six years left to meet the goal, there has to be renewed energy from all those involved, including education institutions and the Scottish Government, to reach the 2030 goal.
