That Parliament commends Action for Children for commissioning Professor Alexis Jay CBE to lead a review examining how policy and practice can better prevent and respond to child criminal exploitation; welcomes the final report, Criminally Exploited Children: Shattered Lives, Stolen Futures; believes that this undertaking will help inform politicians, decision makers and other relevant stakeholders about the scale and nature of criminal exploitation and the recommendations made to respond to this issue; recognises the bravery of the children, young people and families who informed the review through their personal and often traumatic testimonies; understands that the review will inform youth justice service delivery and expertise that Action for Children provides to children and their families, and recognises what it sees as the commitment of Action for Children in shining a light on this evolving issue and raising public awareness of what it sees as the collective responsibility to ensure that children are kept safe from abuse and exploitation.
