  • Submitted by: Sue Webber, Lothian, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 26 March 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12654

That the Parliament congratulates Lesley Purdie, from Livingston, on being named as Bathgate Golf Club’s first female captain; understands that this is an historic moment, as she is the first female to take on this role in the club’s 132-year history; further understands that Mrs Purdie has been a member of the club for 30 years and has served on its council for the last six years; recognises what it sees as the club’s encouragement of female volunteers to join the council and help direct the club forward, and wishes Leslie and the rest of the club continued success for the future.
