Falkirk East’s Table Tennis Superstar, Lara Stirling, Wins Second Senior Doubles Title

That the Parliament congratulates Lara Stirling on securing her second Senior Doubles title at Table Tennis Scotland's Scottish National Championships 2024; recognises that Lara secured this win alongside her playing partner, Rebecca Plaistow, who is currently Scotland’s number one player in women’s table tennis; notes that Lara and Rebecca travelled to Largs for the 2024 Senior Scottish National Championships in March 2024, with the aim of retaining their previous doubles title; understands that, with this latest victory, the duo has now collected the 2019, 2023 and 2024 doubles prize together; recognises that Lara hones her skills at Grange Table Tennis Club in Brightons, and that, as a result of her hard work, she is currently placed fifth in the women’s ranking for Scotland; congratulates Lara on securing this additional doubles title recently, and wishes her the best of luck as she continues to progress within the top field of table tennis.
