Congratulating the Winners of FilmG 2024

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils of Àrd-sgoil MhicNeacail, Sgoil Lionacleit and Sgoil a’ Bhac, as well as Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn (Galson Community Trust), on winning awards in their respective categories at 2024's FilmG awards; commends the hard work that they each put into their entries and performances; understands that the competition welcomed budding film creatives across 16 different categories and culminated in a final at the SEC Armadillo on 24 February, in front of nearly 500 supporters of FilmG, including top-level industry professionals; recognises that the media competition launched in 2008, is owned by MG Alba and run by Astar, and that, since its inception, it has provided a platform for young and aspiring filmmakers to explore their talent and creativity through the medium of Gàidhlig, irrespective of their level of proficiency, and wishes the event and the filmmakers who it supports every success in the years ahead.
