That the Parliament congratulates Ayr’s Gary Burgess who originally began running a half-marathon every single day for the first half of 2023 and has now reached the home stretch with 25 days to go; recognises that Gary is raising money for the British Heart Foundation and has raised £2,770 so far; understands that, following his doctor's advice, Gary will be walking the last 200 miles, which he aims to complete on 21 December 2023; notes that 21 December marks the 365th day of the marathon journey; acknowledges that Gary will be leaving the Growler bar and walking towards the beach and back for four miles every day, beginning at 12.00 pm, to allow more people to join in; thanks Gary for his hard work and determination by walking and running 4,000 miles in 2023 to raise much needed funds for a great cause, and wishes Gary well for the future.
