Murray Farmcare Scores Double Award Win at National SQP Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Murray Farmcare, based in Glasgow Road, Dumfries, on being awarded Independent Store of the Year at the National SQP Awards 2023, held in London on 10 November 2023; further congratulates Murray Farmcare's founder and managing director, Andrew Cairns, on being awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award; notes that Murray Farmcare was founded in 1975, and that it provides animal pharmacy services alongside its shop, which sells a wide range of pet, horse and workwear products, as well as its UK-wide farm care supply business; understands that the SQP Award judges cited Murray Farmcare's expertise, personal service, product selection and community engagement in awarding it Independent Store of the Year, and that, in awarding Andrew Cairns the Lifetime Achievement Award, the judges noted his work in building up the Murray Farmcare business and his commitment to giving back for the benefit of others through the Animal Health Distributors Association, the Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority and other groups, and wishes Andrew Cairns and all of the staff at Murray Farmcare well for the future.
