Beacon Arts Centre Shortlisted for Community Creative Regeneration Award

That the Parliament congratulates the Beacon Arts Centre on being nominated for the 2023 SURF awards; notes that the award is for its creative contribution to the Inverclyde community; further notes that this was for the arts centre’s work on the Creative Minds festival this summer; understands that the SURF network acts as a forum for regeneration work in Scotland and that its overall aim is to improve the lives and opportunities of residents in some of the country’s disadvantaged areas; believes that the arts play a vital role in society, and celebrates the work of the Beacon in making the arts accessible to all.
