That the Parliament lends its support to the annual #ThinkWINTER campaign launched at the beginning of November; understands that #ThinkWINTER is promoted by partners Mountaineering Scotland, Scottish Mountain Rescue, Glenmore Lodge, Scottish Avalanche Information Service, Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland, Snowsport Scotland, Glenmore Lodge, Police Scotland and Mountain Training Scotland; notes that the campaign plans to raise awareness of the extra dangers of winter conditions and further educates those heading for the mountains to be fully prepared, this includes by taking adequate gear and equipment, checking the forecast, and enhancing understanding of the risks of snow such as cornices and avalanches, and sends its support and best wishes to those in the Scottish Mountain Rescue who work tirelessly and put themselves in perilous situations to save the lives of others each year.
