That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen Communities Together on winning the City Category at the UK Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom competition 2023; understands that the group was also awarded a Gold Medal Certificate and a Certificate of Achievement in the Horticultural Award Category, recognising the wonderful job done to ensure that Aberdeen City’s parks and green spaces are at their best for everyone to enjoy; further understands that Aberdeen Communities Together consists of over 100 groups, including Aberdeen City Council’s environmental services and community groups across the city; commends what it sees as the commitment to strong and exemplary partnership working between a local authority and communities; understands that Aberdeen City Council supports around 40 community groups through the Keep Scotland Beautiful and RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood environmental improvement initiative; celebrates the hard work carried out for nature and climate across Aberdeen by volunteers and local authority employees to make Aberdeen a better place to live, work and play, and wishes all those involved with the win the best for the future.
