That the Parliament congratulates the organisers of the Bennachie Ultra Marathon and the Bennachie Ultra Trail on the success of the 2023 event; notes that the Bennachie Ultra Trail was a challenging 17.5-mile course, with 3,300 ft of elevation gain, while the Bennachie Ultra Marathon was a gruelling 31-mile course, taking in Millstone Hill, Hermit Seat, Oxen Craig, Little Oxen, Craigshannoch and the iconic Mither Tap; understands that the event was sponsored by local businesses and organisations, including Peterkins solicitors, Axess Engineering Solutions, Spey Valley Brewery, Active Root, Sinclair’s of Rhynie, H&S Milne & Sons Family Butchers and Graham Watson Photography; congratulates everyone who took part, particularly the ultra marathon event winners, Harriet Cross and Jonathan Gamble, and the ultra trail event winners, Tom Martin and Susan Naysmith, and wishes them every success in future events.
