That the Parliament celebrates the return of the Glasgow Cathedral Festival in 2023, which takes place between 28 September and 1 October; notes that Glasgow Cathedral Festival offers a varied programme of music events, free tours, exhibitions, dance and film, all taking place in the dramatic setting of Glasgow’s medieval cathedral, the oldest building in Glasgow; recognises that audiences can see both Scottish and international talent in a memorable setting; understands that the festival, now in its seventh season, is organised by the Society of Friends of Glasgow Cathedral, a charitable organisation whose aim is to care and preserve the cathedral, and commends the society for all its work in running the festival, which has welcomed over 13,000 visitors to Glasgow Cathedral since the first festival in 2016.
