That the Parliament celebrates the success of businesses in the Mid Scotland and Fife region at the recent 2023 Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards; notes that Hugh Black and Sons, with shops in Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, in Fife, and in Stirling, was named as the Best for Scottish Sourcing (Multiple Retailer) and Simon Howie Foods, which trades in Perth and Auchterarder, in Perthshire, was named as Best Meat Product of the Year for its Black Label Gastro Burger; understands that the awards celebrate the best of Scotland’s exceptional food and drink and highlight the incredible businesses and finest Scottish producers; notes that the awards were announced during Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight, which takes place from 2 to 16 September 2023; believes that they celebrate the exceptional quality of Scottish produce and recognise the skilled workforce, fine produce and successful businesses; acknowledges the hard work of producers, manufacturers, retailers, those working in food service, hospitality, regional food groups and ambassadors across the sector in the Mid Scotland and Fife region and wider Scotland, and expresses its very best wishes to the winners for continued success in the future.
