University of Stirling Success in Under-23 European Championships

That the parliament congratulates University of Stirling students on their medal-winning performances in swimming events at the Under-23 European Championships in Dublin, where they represented Great Britain; recognises that Keanna MacInnes won gold in the 100m and 200m Butterfly events, before taking silver, alongside fellow Stirling swimmers, Evie Davis and Lucy Grieve, in the 4x100m Mixed Medley Relay, with Evie Davis also winning silver in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay; highlights that the University of Stirling students’ success at the event is the latest in a series of achievements for swimmers at Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence, following the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, where Duncan Scott won gold in the Men’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay, silver in the Men’s 200m Medley, and bronze in Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay alongside fellow Stirling student Lucy Hope, and winning 22 medals at the British Summer Championships in Sheffield; notes that Bradley Hay, High Performance Swim Coach at the University of Stirling, was also selected to travel to the European Championships to support the British athletes; commends everyone involved for their hard work, dedication, team work and excellent performances, and extends its very best wishes to all the competitors.
