That the Parliament congratulates East Lothian Council on the award of £80,000 from the Cycling Facilities Fund; understands that the Cycling Facilities Fund was made possible through a joint commitment by the Scottish Government and sportscotland through National Lottery funds; further understands that this funding will be used as investment towards a new cycle pump track, which will benefit the local communities of Musselburgh and Wallyford; believes that the new community pump track will be used by a wide demographic and understands that it allows for the use of mountain bikes, BMXs, scooters and skateboards; considers that the pump track will be an inclusive place for sport and for broader physical and mental wellbeing, and believes that the project will encourage community cohesion and healthier lifestyles for the local communities of Musselburgh and Wallyford.
