70th Anniversary of Macsween of Edinburgh

That the Parliament congratulates Macsween of Edinburgh, from Loanhead, which is famous for its haggis, on reaching its 70th anniversary on 1 August 2023; recognises its efforts in delivering exceptional products; notes that Macsween of Edinburgh is a third-generation family firm, founded by Charles Macsween in 1953, and is now led by James Macsween; considers Macsween of Edinburgh to be an important employer in Midlothian since its move from its original location in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh; commends the numerous industry awards that it has achieved; understands that it has a commitment to sustainable practices, and wishes Macsween of Edinburgh continued success in the future.
