That the Parliament congratulates Street Soccer Scotland, based in the Edinburgh Northern and Leith constituency, which is the national partner for Team Scotland, on its players participating in the 2023 Homeless World Cup football tournament in the United States; recognises that Team Scotland has previously won the Homeless World Cup in 2007 and 2011; understands that the Homeless World Cup is an annual street football tournament for both men’s and women’s competitions, which unites people from all over the world who have experiences with homelessness and social exclusion; notes that the 2023 tournament takes place at Sacramento State University, in Sacramento, California, from 8 to 15 July; commends the seven players who have been selected from across Street Soccer programmes throughout Scotland, and wishes Team Scotland all the very best.
