That the Parliament offers condolences on the very sad passing of the former Renfrewshire councillor, Jackie Green, who passed away on 11 May 2023; recognises that Jackie was loved by many and was the treasured husband of Alice, loving dad and father-in-law of Andrea, Caroline and John, and adored and dedicated papa and great grandfather; notes that Jackie was first elected to the St James ward in Paisley in 1988, and retired from local government in 2012, and was, it believes, a well-respected councillor; understands that many people have fond memories of Jackie and that this is reflected in the words of the Renfrewshire Provost, Lorraine Cameron, who said that "Jackie was a dear colleague to many of us who served alongside him, and will be bitterly missed by family, friends, neighbours, and many of the community", and offers condolences once more to all of Jackie’s family and friends at this time.
