That the Parliament congratulates Electric Honey on the end of its 30th anniversary year; understands that Electric Honey is Glasgow Kelvin College’s in-house record label, which has been described as “the most successful student-run label in the world”; further understands that this record label launched the career of such illustrious and popular bands as Snow Patrol, Biffy Clyro, and Belle and Sebastian; notes that Electric Honey will cap its 30th anniversary year with a showcase of the next generation of Scottish artists, sourced by students on Glasgow Kelvin College’s HND Music Business course; acknowledges the opportunity that it grants to students undertaking the Music Business course, and commends the label for what it sees as 30 extremely successful years.
