Galloway Activity Centre Wins Outdoor Venue of the Year

That the Parliament warmly congratulates Galloway Activity Centre, in Castle Douglas, on being voted the Outdoor Venue of the Year at the prestigious Scottish Hospitality Awards 2023, an event that recognises excellence in the growing hospitality sector; notes that the centre, which occupies a stunning location on the banks of Loch Ken in Dumfries and Galloway, specialises in providing exciting and memorable holidays, as well as school trips, team building, family days out, groups and individuals, in addition to hen parties and stag dos; acknowledges the work of its team of expert adventure instructors, who are always on hand to offer a host of activities, including laser tag, archery, sailing, wind-surfing, mountain biking and climbing, as well as water sports and wild swimming; recognises the imaginative choice of accommodation that includes Mongolian yurts, cabins, a bunkhouse and a glamping dome, and wishes the management and staff continued success as they gear up for the summer holiday season.
