That the Parliament congratulates two brass bands from Bo’ness, which took part in the Spring Festival Brass Band Championships 2023; understands that Kinneil Band and Bo’ness and Carriden Band both travelled to Blackpool for the event at the Winter Gardens on 13 May 2023; recognises that, in total, 21 bands competed in the Senior Trophy event, the qualifying contest for the 2024 Senior Cup; notes that Kinneil Band were under the musical direction of Raymond Tennant and that Bo’ness and Carriden Band were directed by Charlie Farren, with both bands playing the set test piece, The Accursed Huntsman (Le Chasseur Maudit) by Edrich Siebert; congratulates both Kinneil Band and Bo’ness and Carriden Band on their success and achievement qualifying for the Senior Trophy Event, and wishes them both all the best for the future.
