Touchdown for Elite Evolution at the International Cheer Union Junior World and World Cheerleading Championship 2023

That the Parliament congratulates cheerleaders from Grangemouth’s Elite Evolution on representing Scotland at the International Cheer Union (ICU) Junior World and World Cheerleading Championship 2023, held in Orlando, Florida, from 19 to 21 April 2023; recognises that representing Team Scotland’s Youth group were Katie Guyan, Sophie Gall and Betha MacGuire, and representing the Senior group were Amanda Grant and Emma Crawford; notes that the teams were accompanied by the owner of Elite Evolution and coach, Vikki Hogg; understands that hundreds of competitors compete during the ICU during the first day, and that 10 qualifying teams move on to the second day of competition to showcase their ability; further understands that this is the first year that team Scotland has qualified for the second day of competition at the ICU, with both teams, Youth and Senior, performing again on the second day; again congratulates the performers from Grangemouth’s Elite Evolution on their success at the ICU Cheerleading Championship 2023, and wishes them all the best for the future.
