That the Parliament congratulates Hugh Black and Sons in Wishaw, on winning Q Guild Butchers' two Gold Smithfield Awards; understands that the Smithfield Awards recognise and reward the best meat products from butchers across the UK, showcasing craftmanship, innovation and skill; further understands that, from over 200 products submitted from butchers across the UK, Hugh Black and Sons was awarded Gold for its steak pie and ribeye steak; notes that products were assessed by a judging panel headed up by Keith Fisher, CEO of the Institute of Meat, alongside a selection of respected industry professionals, journalists and foodies at the City of Glasgow College; thanks the Q Guild Butchers for its continued support across the industry, and wishes Hugh Black and Sons all the best for the future.
