That the Parliament congratulates the Scotland Men’s and Women’s curling teams on both achieving silver medals at the World Senior Championships in Gangneung, South Korea; recognises that the teams were led by Perth’s Graeme Connal, alongside Mark Brass, Alistair Scott and Mark Fraser, and Perth’s Mairi Milne, with fellow Dewars Centre curlers, Katie Loudon and Wendy Johnston, alongside Jackie Lockhart; notes that the teams delivered strong performances to reach the final, before both losing out to the teams from Canada; understands that the achievements of the senior teams follow on from the extraordinary success of the men’s team on winning gold at the World Championships, and acknowledges what it sees as the immense contribution and value of the Dewars Centre in Perth, which has consistently returned sporting success on the world stage.
