That the Parliament congratulates the University of St Andrews on its recent success in the annual Tennis Scotland awards; understands that the university was awarded the University of the Year title for the second time; notes that the award follows what has been described as a "stellar season" for the university’s players, including two promotions and no demotions, a Scottish Student Sport champion title, and two players reaching the British Universities and Colleges Sport individuals finals; congratulates all the university’s coaches, volunteers, the University Tennis Club committee members, and all those who contributed to the success in the awards; recognises that the Tennis Scotland Awards celebrate the contributions of groups and individuals who are dedicated to the growth of the sport; emphasises what it sees as the importance of sport in universities and wider society and the particular role of tennis; commends the University of St Andrews for its work to develop the sport of tennis, and wishes its players continued success in the coming season.
