  • Motion reference: S6M-08723

That the Scottish Parliament commends the dedication of Borders mothers from Duns who, it understands, have banded together to reopen the Duns nursery, which was expected to close; notes what it sees as the commitment of the local community in setting the not-for-profit organisation to take over the building and retain the original staff; praises the community in Duns for their efforts in ensuring childcare remains available to families and understands that vital local jobs are retained in the process, and congratulates the mothers for what it sees as their inspirational work in keeping this critical service available to people and the community in Duns.
