Dads Work Secures National Lottery Community Funding

That the Parliament congratulates Dads Work on securing £165,350 from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that Dads Work is a community project that works with fathers and male caregivers and provides support groups, positive parenting classes, workshops on the role of fathers, home visits, trips and outings for fathers and their children; understands that the group will use the funding to deliver its project to support fathers and male carers in Prestonpans and the surrounding areas in East Lothian through an antenatal programme, support groups and counselling; further understands that the project will involve 675 participants and 30 volunteers, but that it will reach an even wider group through its impact on the families of the participants, and commends the organisation for its contribution to the communities in East Lothian.
