That the Parliament congratulates the staff at Abbey Nursery, Houston, on the numerous awards that they collected throughout 2022, and on their subsequent title of Most Nurturing Childcare Centre in Renfrewshire at the 2022 Scottish Enterprise Awards, alongside their 12th consecutive annual Eco-Schools Scotland award, with the team at Abbey Nursery being led by the same member of staff who has led the business to all six Green Flag Awards since 2011; understands that the nursery takes a Froebelian approach to childcare by putting nature at the centre of its infant to preschool-age pupils’ curriculum, and involves pupils in environmental programmes, such as Renfrewshire Council’s Team Up To Clean Up and the RSPB Big Bird Watch; further understands that pupils have collected Bronze and Silver RSPB Go Wild Badges; commends the nursery for raising over £3,000 for charity throughout 2022, and wishes it all the very best for the coming years.
