  • Submitted by: Foysol Choudhury, Lothian, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 27 January 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-07623
  • Current status: Has not yet achieved cross-party support

That the Parliament notes the belief that the Scottish Government should address ongoing concerns raised by MSPs and stakeholders regarding the Scottish Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme and the calls for a permanent funding solution; further notes the view that the Scottish Government must honour its announcement of a domestic replacement to the EU school milk scheme and work to deliver this scheme earlier than its deadline of the end of the current parliamentary session, and notes what it sees as the vital importance of school and nursery milk schemes during the cost of living crisis, including in the Lothian region, in allowing children to continue to receive nutritious milk, enabling increased focus during learning and helping to tackle child poverty.
