That the Parliament congratulates New Cumnock’s Sam McKnight on being appointed an MBE in the New Year Honours list for his services to the fashion and beauty industries; believes that Sam’s career began after moving to London in the 1970s, where he was employed at Molton Brown, a luxury hair salon, before moving to New York in the 1980s; understands that his career has involved more than 190 cover shoots with Vogue Magazine, and has seen him work with what it considers world-renowned people like Madonna and Princess Diana; further understands that he has also received lifetime achievement awards from The Scottish Fashion Awards and Creative Head Awards; commends Sam for what it sees as his hard work and dedication to the industry, and wishes him continued success.
