Bill Urquhart Retires After 34 Years as Treasurer of Banchory Scout Group

That the Parliament congratulates Bill Urquhart on his retirement after 34 years as treasurer of the 1st Banchory Scout Group; understands that he began as treasurer in 1988 and has been a stalwart fundraiser for the group alongside managing the group finances; acknowledges the role that Bill played in sourcing grant funding for the upgrade of the Scout Hut in 2008-09; further acknowledges the difference that Bill has made to hundreds of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts since 1988, ensuring that the young people could make the most of every opportunity; commends Bill on his decades of exceptional service, and wishes him an enjoyable retirement.
